Wolf Song Communications is owned and operated by Trudy Pogue. Trudy has a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario. Her varied background includes web design and development, graphic design, computer programming, software planning and support, writing and technical writing. Before starting her own business, Trudy spent 2 1/2 years at Corel Corporation working as a technical writer producing user manuals, online Help and tutorials for graphics software. During this time, Trudy developed her creative side while enhancing her technical knowledge and writing ability.
Trudy is also a freelance writer. Her work has been published in the Haliburton County Echo, Minden Times, County Voice and the Communicator, as well as in various newsletters and magazines. She is involved in her community and volunteers for the Haliburton Highlands Writers' and Editors' Network, the Highlands Community Pregnancy Care Centre, Lakeside Church and events such as the annual Dog Sled Derby. She is on the organizing committee for Women's Day Together and is one of the founders of Katie's Run for Epilepsy.
A Haliburton County cottager since 1983, Trudy moved to the area from Ottawa with her family in 2003. She now enjoys using her unique combination of technical and creative talents to serve the people of Haliburton County and beyond.
